Senior Enterprise Architect

Colate is seeking experienced Senior Enterprise Architects to join our CTO Architecture function across multiple UK locations. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future technology landscape, drive strategic architecture initiatives, and support the delivery of complex programmes across banking and financial services domains.

You will provide leadership in architecture strategy, emerging technologies, and implementation, with a strong emphasis on Architecture as Code, composability, and hands-on architecture component development. This is an exciting opportunity to influence north-star visions, roadmaps, and practical delivery across diverse business areas.

RequirementsIn-Scope Technologies & Products

You will work across a broad range of technologies and platforms to support the CTO Architecture function, including:

• Core Domains: Stakeholder Management, Enterprise Architecture, Banking knowledge (Payments, Loans, Cards, Pensions, Markets)
• Emerging & Strategic Technologies: Blockchain, Machine Learning, Cloud Services, Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence
• Other Key Areas: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Architecture as Code practices, composable architecture

ResponsibilitiesScope of Services & Responsibilities

• Cover multiple vacancies, secondments, and maternity leave within the CTO Architecture functions
• Produce high-level architectures, future/north star visions, emerging technology views, and comprehensive roadmaps — with a focus on implementing Architecture as Code
• Provide expert architectural guidance, including external insights on industry trends, best practices, strategy, principles, standards, and guardrails
• Support transition state planning, detailed designs, and architecture delivery
• Embed within programmes and collaborate closely with workstream leads to define scope, requirements, architecture, and design roadmaps
• Lead stakeholder engagement (internal and external) across the programme
• Deliver designs, tooling strategies, and data delivery patterns
