Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Ably Resources is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of major onshore industrial projects based in Grangemouth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team working across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through to detailed design and project execution within a complex industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and undertake electrical engineering activities across feasibility, FEED and detailed design phases.
• Develop electrical design deliverables for industrial and process-related projects.
• Provide technical input into the design and development of site electrical networks.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Support project delivery whilst ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience delivering electrical design projects within industrial, manufacturing, process, energy, petrochemical or similar environments.
• Strong experience undertaking feasibility studies, FEED and detailed design activities.
• Experience with industrial site electrical networks is essential.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
