Production Management Assistant

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

• You will be responsible for booking accommodation, transport and travel, both domestic and international, for all news production projects and deployments.
• You will be required to raise requisitions and payments via BBC Purchasing and the BBC Financial Systems as well as keeping detailed cost logs.
• Working closely to the Junior Production Manager you will provide IT coordinator support for the News department, which will include keeping oversight of and supporting the Newsroom’s software and hardware requirements.
• The role also involves studio support including autocue operation in TV galleries and supporting floor managers on studio floors. The role will require afternoon/evening shifts to be worked during the week.
• Pre & post-production requirements will include clearing music and stills for all content and completing all paperwork via Albert, Silvermouse and Proteus.
• Provide support with office management and be able to help with ad-hoc requests that come the way of the production support team.
  

Essential Criteria

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of BBC Systems (e.g. ACON/SAP, OpenMedia, Silvermouse, Proteus, MyBusiness, Smartbook, Travel & Accommodation Bookings)
• Knowledge of BBC procedures, policies and multiplatform awareness
• Experience of live TV Gallery and Studio environments
• Strong IT Co-ordinator skills
• Demonstrable experience in working in a fast-paced environment along with excellent organisational, planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
